Return to:  NAVINSGEN Home > How to Resolve a Complaint (A-Z)

Select one of these topics:

To whom do I report individuals suspected of impersonating an officer?

Report suspected individuals impersonating a military member to the Naval Criminal Investigative Service.

The IG does not investigate allegations that someone is impersonating a military member. If you contact an IG regarding these allegations, depending on the circumstances we may:

(1) Refer your complaint to the appropriate authority, i.e., NCIS; or,

(2) Refer you to the appropriate authority, i.e., local law enforcement.
